FAMILY AGRICULTURE
It seeks to maximize the use of the potential of Family Farming (FA) to contribute to the revitalization of rural territories, food security and sustainable development. To do this, effective strategies are required that resolve the limitations that FA faces in terms of: access to technologies, markets and financing, infrastructure and connectivity. It is therefore necessary to stimulate joint work between countries to improve public policies and investments, aimed at increasing productivity, competitiveness, sustainability and the inclusion of FA. For this, the following collective actions are proposed.
Collective actions
01
1. Institutionalize an exchange mechanism with representation of key actors in family farming (FA) for the design and evaluation of a new generation of public policies, the necessary investments and their financing.
2. Support the design of regional initiatives that link the countries' climate policies and actions in order to contribute to the viability of their productive units in the face of the challenges generated by climate change.
3. Promote the modernization of the AF in terms of production, management, commercialization and marketing of its products through the "Competence Center for Cooperative Digital Transformation".
